Web series / Pushed by the Wind: The joy of returning to the sea in Guadeloupe

After a 15-day work camp in Guadeloupe, it is by sea that the crew of Poussé par le Vent will continue to discover the Caribbean island. Complicated sailing for Sarah, who suffers from the nausea of the first trimester of pregnancy, but which allows her to discover new spots for surfing, kite and surfing.

After a a fortnight's work in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) for the Maloya fairing, it is now time for Sarah, Aurélien and Nael to set sail again and discover the Caribbean island by sea

First, it is the Sainte-Anne anchorage that Maloya's crew will join. Upwind sailing, in 20 knots with 2 m of swell, which will take over Sarah's stomach, pregnant with her second child. If nausea is present on land, it is increased tenfold at sea. Even on small sailings...

For this first spot, it is therefore the Rouleur anchorage of Sainte-Anne that welcomes our sailors. After a complicated night, to be "stirred", it is finally a calmer anchorage, a few meters from the waves that Sarah and Aurélien have chosen. A great way to have fun surfing and kitesurfing.

Then let's go to the lagoon of Saint-François, much calmer and more peaceful, and the return of "good habits", Sarah says: surfboard, and kite?!

The lagoon is also an idyllic place to spend Christmas. While in 2017, the little family started crossing the Atlantic, in 2018, it is at anchor in Guadeloupe that Nael has the chance to open her gifts.
