After Granada, Sarah, Aurélien and Nael set sail for Le Marin, Martinique. After a long and complicated transport, they come (finally) to pick up their new windsurfing, kite and paddle equipment for the 2019 season. A lot of fun at anchor!
This is what happens as soon as the boat and the stored equipment are joined. Nael accompanies her parents on the water on a stand-up paddle with an inflatable windsurf mast and Aurélien discovers with joy her windsurf foil.
This stopover in Martinique is also an opportunity for Sarah to confirm what she had in mind. She is expecting her second child (Editor's note: A little girl) which will be born at the beginning of July. A great news that delights all Maloya's crew. Discover the interview Sarah gave us about her pregnancy at sea.
It is therefore necessary to reorganize the planning so that Sarah's pregnancy takes place in French territories: Guadeloupe, St-Barth and Saint-Martin. A change of schedule that will allow them to discover the pristine islands, as they had thought of it at the beginning of their trip. The next big departure will be about a month after the birth, to Colombia and Panama
After a 15-day stopover that allowed them to tinker on the boat and pass the first prenatal examinations, the little family set off for Guadeloupe or Martinique, with a stopover in Saint-Pierre to treat the sick little Nael. This first long post-pregnancy navigation will be an opportunity for Sarah to apprehend seasickness, which is prone to nausea in early pregnancy
