Special Edition / Aquamot, electric motors for pleasure boating

The Aquamot range offers a complete solution for electric motors - outboard, inboard and pod - silent, powerful and economical. Distributed by Fenwick, this range is now available to boaters.

Distributed by Fenwick in France, Aquamot electric motors are distinguished by their all-aluminium construction. Combined with a Brushless motor (brushless) integrated in the base plate, the Aquamot are particularly quiet. They do not emit any whistling often associated with electric propulsion. Boaters and especially fishermen will appreciate it

Hors-bord électrique Aquamot

An autonomous outboard motor

In its outboard version, Aquamot engines are available from 1.1 to 4.3 kW, equivalent to about 3.5 to 15 hp. With their integrated battery, they offer about 2 hours of autonomy at mid-range and 45 minutes at full throttle. Thus, these engines will be perfectly adapted to the transom of a dinghy or even a small sailboat (they exist with a long shaft).

The battery is very easy to remove, which makes it easy to transport. Indeed, if the engine weighs 12 kg with its battery, the battery alone weighs 4 kg. This allows the engine to be installed on the tender without its battery and only connected once the engine is in place. For charging, the outboard motor is delivered with a 220 V charger.

Aquamot

An inboard that replaces the thermal

In addition to the outboard model, the Austrian manufacturer also has inboard engine models in its catalogue. In this case, the motor uses the shaft line in place and replaces an internal combustion engine. Aquamot has the entire power line with the motor, battery and charging system adapted to each use. In-board motors are available up to 40 kW.

Aquamot

A pod ready to use

Finally, the solution of the pod that comes to be fixed under the hull is also proposed. It is quite easy to install since it is enough to run an electric wire through the hull, the engine and propeller are under the hull. Aquamot offers shims so that the propeller axis is horizontal to provide the best thrust.

Aquamot

Maintenance-free (or almost maintenance-free)

With a very simple installation, all these motors are also particularly economical. Apart from the electric propulsion, they require no maintenance. Only 2 sealed bearings need to be replaced every 1000 hours. It is also necessary to monitor the anodes on the base plate.
