advanSea is a range of sailing yacht instruments developed by Plastimo over the past 10 years. This range is designed in France according to the specifications of the Lorient design office and produced in France with local partners (mainly Bretons).
It consists of screens with a simple function such as speed, depth or wind strength and direction. The strength of this range lies in its displays with very large characters. With figures 45 mm high, these screens are particularly readable.
To simplify installation and communication to other devices, this entire range is connected in NMEA 183. This allows you to display the ground speed from a GPS, for example, or conversely send the wind data to a computer.
For this 2019 season, the range is completed with two products:
- a fluxgate compass
- a wifi transmitter.
The S400 compass delivers magnetic heading information in NMEA 183. It can be used for an autopilot or to follow a route on navigation software.
In parallel, the S400 Wifi interface allows all computer devices (smartphone, tablet, computer...) to connect to retrieve network information. Associated with a navigation application for example, this Wifi connection gives access to navigation data.
