Special Edition / Antifouling Marlin, a complete range that stands out for its efficiency

Known for its Velox Plus product - an antifouling for propellers - Marlin antifouling stands out for its above-average performance and aggressive pricing. Already widely established in Italy (their country of origin), they are now distributed in France by the company HDS.

Marlin is an Italian company founded in 1982 in Trieste. Specialist in painting, it is still a reference in Italy (n°2 behind Boero). This brand is known for the quality of its products and in particular the famous antifouling for Velox Plus propeller which has been successfully exported all over the world.

Always at the forefront of innovation, this family company was one of the first companies to offer a silicone-based antifouling without biocides in 1997. In 2008, it launched Idron, a water-based antifouling, solvent-free, with a low environmental impact and safer for the person applying it. In 2012, it launches a water-based and copper-free antifouling, designed to protect probes..

Today, the complete range of antifouling products is available on the French market through its distributor, HDS. This antifouling range covers all the needs of boaters, sailors and motorboats. It stands out for very good feedback from users who have been able to test the product. Well placed in price, Marlin antifouling products are divided into several products depending on the boat on which they are applied.

Antifouling Marlin

Marlin TF, the top-of-the-range erodible

TF is an erodible antifouling that has the particularity of being durable when applied in 2 coats. The erodible, intended for boats sailing at less than 25 knots, offers the advantage of avoiding over-sleeping from one year to the next. At the end of the season, a simple washing of the hull with a high-pressure jet and the hull becomes virgin of any antifouling, ready to receive a new coat.

Antifouling Marlin

Marlin Hard, a high-performance hard matrix

If the hard matrix must fit on the hull despite the boat's speed (ideal for fast motor boats), it must also offer good antifouling protection. This is the case with Marlin Hard, which stands out from the competition by the cleanliness of its hulls at the end of the season.

Antifouling Marlin

Marlin 303, an erodible for seasonal workers

This entry-level product (cheaper) is designed for a shorter lifetime than the TF. It is mainly intended for boaters who launch their boats only during the summer months, and then winter out of the water. The product remains effective for a maximum of 6 to 12 months.

Antifouling Marlin

Marlin CF, for aluminium hulls

No copper on aluminium boats! Otherwise the copper will attack the aluminium, which loses its strength. To keep an antifouling character, but in the absence of copper, Marlin uses flakes that have the same effect.

Antifouling Marlin

Marlin Flexi, the struts of well-protected semi-rigid vehicles

Flexi is a special feature of the Marlin range. It is intended for all lovers of semi-rigid. This antifouling is designed to be applied under the sausages of semi-rigid vehicles that always get dirty in the end. The same product can also be used on the rigid part of the hull (except for aluminium semi-rigid boats).
