The Salon rochelais du Grand Pavois will be held from 26 September to 1 October 2018. While waiting to discover them on the pontoons, here is the selection of the show on the sailboats not to be missed.

Neel 65 Evolution, the largest cruising trimaran in series

The French trimaran specialist has launched a evolution version of its entire range, inspired by their latest model, the Neel 51. These "evolved" versions consist in improving the existing multihulls. The Neel 65 Evolution has a living space of 100 m2 but especially the famous "Cockloon" (contraction of cockpit and saloon) which sees the cockpit as an extension of the saloon.

In this space, 14 people can be seated around the table. This first model is equipped with 6 double cabins with private bathrooms. On the main deck, there is a large 25m2 cockpit with an outside kitchen. The large saloon (which opens completely to the outside) houses a large central kitchen, the chart table and two cabins with their own bathrooms.

Ponza 35, a chic and modern weekender

The Ponza is tackling the weekend market: an elegant unit that is also designed to perform well and spend a pleasant moment on board. For this 11.69 m overall design, Philippe Briand wanted sporty water lines with a fairly narrow beam (3.12 m) and above all a reasonable total weight (4.3 tons). The keel plan has been specially studied to offer both a very low center of gravity and a reduced draft (1.75 m).

This sailboat, which despite its 2 cabins, is intended to be a weekender, has a very refined look. The deck plan has been very well designed with 2 cockpits to separate the maneuvering area from the guest area.

JPK 1180, a racing yacht designed for the crew

The JPK 1180 is 100% race-ready and IRC rated and was created to meet the demand of British yachtsmen. It is based on the same philosophy as the JPK 10.10 and 10.80 which have a solid reputation across the UK with their multiple victories in the RORC classics and the Fastnet. The result is a very versatile yacht with a moderate displacement, but specifically designed to be sailed with a crew rather than double-handed or solo.

The ikone 6.50, inspired by the famous Muscadet

By imagining a boat that completes its range, between the Ikone 6.00 and the Ikone 7.50, the shipyard Espace Vag presents a sailing boat resolutely modern in the lines which leans on the fundamentals of the cruise. The new director of the Espace Vag shipyard - James Simon euros - and the architect Fred Neuman decided to create a small sailboat of 6.50m, smart and transportable, in order to launch a modern Muscadet.

With the future Ikone 6.50 espace Vag hopes to reach a new generation of sailors, a young population that cannot find a suitable and affordable sailboat and a less young population that is looking to simplify their lives to continue sailing. Its program is to be able to leave on a cruise (even far away) with a family on board (2 adults and 2 children) during one week.

Atypical boats, a specificity of the Grand Pavois

You will have to discover the Pinassot by Philippe Saint-Arroman which is inspired by pinnaces created for the sites of Capbreton and Vieux-Boucan. This 5 meter sail and oar boat can be launched easily, is efficient with its 8.50 meter square sail as well as with its oars thanks to its tapered hull design. A ballast of 60 liters is foreseen for the navigations in solitary without forgetting a waterproof trunk to put material of bed and picnic.
