Change of name
The biggest paddle race in the world is changing its name. Previously called Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, the latter now becomes the Nautic Paddle. A simplification for paddle lovers and the general public that takes the name of the show that organizes it - the Nautic (Paris International Boat Show) - and the name of the board used.
An unchanged course
The Nautic Paddle is an incredible race on the Seine, for a crossing of Paris on water, from Bercy to the Eiffel tower via Notre-Dame or the Tuileries garden. The runners get into the water at daybreak at the level of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France for an arrival on the quai de Javel Bas. In total, 27 of the 29 Parisian bridges will be crossed by the paddlers of the race.
An international dimension
The race takes place during the Salon Nautic in Paris (8 to 16 December 2018) and every year attracts more and more candidates from all over the world. By 2017, there were 23 different nationalities!
This year they will be 800 to set off on the Seine with two possible routes to cover. A leisure circuit of 11 km or a professional circuit of 13.5 km, including some sporting difficulties in addition. The second round will take place in the heart of the Nautic lounge, on the swimming pool in the sliding area.
