The stopover in the San Blas has so much more than just Charlotte and Pierre and their two children, Julia and Gabriel.. regret not having spent more time there. Especially since friends who were supposed to join them were denied access to the ship. Indeed, taxi transport is forbidden between Panama and Carti, the port of San Blas. As a result, they had to be picked up by boat in Linton, Panama (about 50 miles to the west) to pick them up and spend a few days together.
It's better to be far-sighted when sailing in the San Blas: no shopping and no cash machine either. You have to leave well equipped! Sometimes we come across boats offering to go shopping for us in Carti on the mainland, but it's random and it's better not to count on it.
