It's not a sea book, it's an island book. Nicolas and Heidi have just returned from a round-the-world trip that lasted more than 7 years. A round-the-world trip by the 3 capes to discover it in all its details. From this navigation, they brought back thousands of photos. To share with us their stopovers and their discoveries, they propose us to gather their most beautiful pictures in a beautiful book: "Around the world in 80 islands". A first book that will be completed later with the ports, anchorages, animals and lighthouses.

At the turn of each page, a new island with a short (too?) short text. The book is organized chronologically, as the discoveries and stopovers are made. A map allows each time to clearly locate the island (in addition to the longitude position, latitude, which will probably not always be very clear to all readers.

The choice of the authors is to highlight the landscapes, not much the men who live there. We like the views from the dominant points of the island. We feel that the crew did not only approach the island by sea. They put on their hiking boots, put on their backpacks and crawled up and down to offer us their cliché.

Of course, the time of the shooting or the weather is not always the best. But the crew of Fleur de Sel (that's the name of their aluminium dinghy) was there at that moment to take the picture. This gives a reportage value, a sharing value to this book: what we see on the photo is what Nicolas and Heidi were able to discover..

In view of the many beautiful photos, we would have liked an even larger format, for an even deeper immersion in all these beauties of the world. Beware, entrusting this book is not without risk: it really makes you want to cast off!
