For small groundable sailing boats
These circuits are open to all yachts from 5 to 8.50 m capable of running aground (with or without crutches). Multihulls are welcome. The circuits play with the tide and the evenings of grounding are planned at the bottom of the river or against a quay in the port. The circuits alternate between fairground anchorages or nights in ports. Aware of the rudimentary comfort conditions of these small sailing boats, the tours include the possibility of dining in a restaurant in the evening or taking a shower ashore.
Cabotage in Brittany is reviving the tradition of cruising that our parents used to practice: simply, on small sailing boats going from port to anchorage. The circuits reproduce these navigations of the time.

To learn stress-free cruising
The idea of these outings is to offer a framework for owners of small sailing boats to take them out of their classic scheme. With coastal sailing: you run aground, you sail close to the rocks, you sail up rivers... You do things that you would probably not dare to do alone.
The result is surprising. The navigators who register are sometimes totally neophytes. These navigations open the doors to new horizons. It is not uncommon to see them reproduce the circuits later on on their own.

To discover Brittany
Cabotage in Brittany is 50% sailing and navigation, but the rest of the time is spent on land with visits and local discoveries. Cabotage en Bretagne works in partnership with local players and tourist offices to help visitors discover the heritage of the port of call.

With around 20 boats on each trip, meetings and exchanges take place around these weeks of sailing. Dinners ashore together and discussions go far beyond simple navigational issues.

To navigate safely
If all the boats registered for the week of cabotage sail autonomously, they are still supervised. Cabotage in Brittany moves a 5.80 m semi-rigid which always sails between the yachts and helps them in difficult passages or to give technical advice. A 10 m sailboat also serves as a base for the organizing team and remains the visual reference point for all the smaller boats that follow.

Registration for the 2018 season opened on Monday, March 12. And already 50% of the places are filled. Do you have a small boat that fits in? Don't hesitate to register, you won't regret the pebbled edges.
