Fuga the aluminium sailboat which leaves for 3 around the world has just cast off from La Rochelle. The first stage led him to the Canaries. A good start for this young crew.

Let's go! Let's go! Aboard their 40-foot aluminium Fuga sailboat, designed to face difficult seas, Dario, Marie and their dog Oï took to the sea for the departure of this great journey which is to last 3 years. Not really a world tour since it is a question of welcoming team members (paying) for the different stages. This happy young couple with their dog makes us share the moments of life on board their boat.

After an evening to say goodbye to friends and family (with a very painful awakening for some!), the sailboat has finally cast off from the port of La Rochelle. Gone are the preparations and do-it-yourself, now it's time for navigation.

The first navigation to the Canaries took place in a single 12-day stage. No stopovers! A beautiful navigation that allowed everyone to dock. Even for the dog for whom it was a first to sail for so long

The start was delayed because the weather was not good. (25 to 30 knots pile hair in the nose...). Finally the crew was shaken in the first few days (Bay of Biscay forced them to do so...) but the tradewinds along Portugal quickly pushed them at high speed towards Lanzarote.

A good transition between the"land" life and the travel life which makes take the dimension of the undertaken project: a sailing trip of 3 years in Atlantic and in the Pacific. It was also an occasion to celebrate Mary's birthday at sea, when she was offered a splendid accordion. She's got three years before she plays us a song on the way back
