Pirelli 1900: 19 m and 1600 hp... hang on!

Pirelli 1900

The Pirelli 1900 is a 19 m giant capable of reaching 45 knots in top speed! 2x800 hp, surface propellers, step hull Everything is in place for sporty sailing! Under the deck, as well as on the outside, comfort is maximized: large sunbathing areas, swimming platforms, large cabins. Its layout and price will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival (12 to 19 September 2017).

At Cannes, Pirelli will unveil the largest semi-rigid of its range, the Pirelli 1900, an 18.5 m long and 5 m wide unit, whose design is based on its little brother the Pirelli 1400.

This new boat built by Tecnorib, whose collaboration with Pirelli has lasted more than 10 years, was designed by Mannerfelt Design Team, which has extensive experience on competition hulls. The hull of the flagship of the range has an infusion hull and a carbon hardtop.

On the engine side, it will be equipped with two 800 hp MAN engines and surface propellers allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. To facilitate the driving of this 16-ton semi-rigid, the equipment will include a joystick and a trim system.

Without being designed for racing, the hull of this new Pirelli promises high speeds without compromising comfort. In order to provide maximum comfort during cruising, the height under the beam in the interior spaces is 2 m high.

The Pirelli 1900 takes the lines of the Pirelli 1400 but reinterprets them to put more emphasis on common spaces and social life. One of the notable features of this new model is the carbon hardtop, which extends much further aft than on the 1400, to protect the cockpit.

The front beach has a huge sunbathing area while the cockpit will be customisable according to the owner's wishes. In the version presented at Cannes, there will be a beautiful swimming platform on the back with a large sunbathing area and a U-shaped sofa on the front.

To contrast with the boat's sporty line, the interiors are elegant and have all the comfort you would expect from a unit of this size.

The basic layout includes two large cabins, two bathrooms, and a central lounge with kitchen and saloon convertible into an additional berth.

The owner's cabin is located at the front, with its private bathroom. The guest cabin is located on the aft port side, and is positioned in the width. It also has a bathroom that can also be accessed from the living room.

To starboard, the space is occupied by a large technical compartment that acts as a storage area. Another possible option is to replace this space with a third cabin, as will be the case with the model on display at Cannes.

The Pirelli 1900 is entirely semi-custom, both in terms of finishes and engines. It will be necessary to wait until the show to discover the price.
