Invictus 240 CX, the invitation to a small outboard cruise

The 240 CX from Invictus Yacht, new in 2018

The Italian shipyard Invictus Yacht will present at the Cannes Yachting Festival the second model in its CX range, the 240 CX. Unlike the largest model in the inboard range, the smallest model will be presented as an outboard and will offer maximum comfort and space for a model less than 8 m long.

After the 280 CX (8.7 m) which launched the CX range at the Boot Düsseldorf, Invictus will present its little brother, the 240 CX (7.45 m) at Cannes Yachting Festival . Unlike its big brother, this model will be presented in an outboard version, to meet the market trend for this type of unit. So there goes the big bathing platform, which will be found on the 250 CX, inboard version of the 240 CX and which will be launched in 2018. The 280 CX will also be available as an outboard version, but this is not yet on the agenda.

The 240 CX is sporty but habitable. The idea is to propose a kind of sundeck, to keep the dayboat spirit, but by proposing a boat with a bed and indoor toilets. This model is designed on the same hull as the 240 FX, with an easy and smooth sea passage and can accommodate up to 250 HP.

The yard tried to maximize the habitable space on board for a 24-foot unit (7.45 m long and 2.50 m wide). Thus, as on the 280 CX, there is a large sunbathing area at the front. The centre console is protected by a wrap-around windscreen and is divided into two parts. To starboard, the cockpit and to port, the cabin entrance, which looks quite spacious for a boat of this size, with a double berth and electric toilets (optional). A storage unit on the port side completes the layout. The whole looks bright thanks to the hull windows which also provide a view of the outside.

On deck, a double bench seat completes the helm station, with a lift-up seat to drive upright. We find the same tilting backrest system as on the 280CX. By tilting backwards, the backrest of the pilot seat then transforms into a bench facing the sea and completes the L-shaped cockpit bench. The rear bench seat is convertible into a second sunbathing area. A retractable bimini (standard version) will protect the cockpit from the elements while sailing.

At the stern, access to the boat is from either port or starboard, from the skirts that frame the outboard engine.

Once again the Italian shipyard promises a quality boat, with meticulous finishing. And if it looks anything like the largest model in the range, the result should be there.

Price 2018: 39 800 HT without motor
