Exclusive / Stop-Anchor Kit, description and installation

The readers of Bateaux.com know the Stop-Anchor kit, we introduced it to you when it was released. We now have one in hand and we have it installed on a flat anchor. Explanations.

The Stop-Anchor kit fits on flat anchors. It is designed to help it penetrate the soil better and hold better. We have already presented this product in a report ( see the subject on Bateaux.com by clicking here SI HUGO A R?VÉ SON ÉCUME DE MER POUR PARTIR EN GRANDE CROISIÈRE, CELA NE L'EMPÊCHE PAS DE NAVIGUER SUR D'AUTRES VOILIERS. Unlike anchor manufacturers who seek to reinvent the powder with each new model, the designer of the Stop-Anchor has just come to modify the geometry of the flat anchor by adapting stabilizers on the excavators.

These stabilizers are attached by drilling just two holes in the excavators. We received a kit and adapted it to an anchor. An operation that took us only a few minutes and is within reach of any boater who owns a drill.

Once the stabisators are tightened on the anchor (using two 13mm wrenches), all that remains is to test the new functioning of the anchor. We will therefore check whether it is effective over the coming summer and keep you informed.

A small point of detail, but it is worth mentioning, this kit comes with a user manual that not only explains how to anchor, but is a small ecological guide. Indeed, boaters often do not know it, but anchors are good ploughmen of our underwater ecosystem. However, the sand and rocks shelter a large number of animals, algae and plants. Using a anchorage that does not slip preserves it.
