Pro Marine has decided to tackle the Mediterranean market and compete with Italian shipyards by launching its new range of Helios RIBs. The first model the Helios 25 is a 6.99 m semi-rigid which takes up the Manta line - "baroud and family" range - but more adapted for the English Channel or the Atlantic. The French shipyard has decided to work on comfort on board to create a boat where you can spend the day on board in lazy mode.
With a hull length of less than 7 m (6.99 m), the Helios 25 - made of ORCA hypalon - is tax-exempt on hull and engine. It has all the comforts to spend a relaxing day on board. For example, the foredeck is occupied by a large sundeck that covers two storage lockers. The bow of the float has a polyester platform that can accommodate a swim ladder (optional) for disembarking passengers from the bow. A stainless steel davit is integrated in the bow with an electric windlass below deck.
The front of the console with its double seat houses a large storage area for chemical toilets or marine toilets (optional). Access is via the front panel mounted on jacks and the space is large enough to fit comfortably. The console is offset to starboard for easy forward movement and has a high windscreen for protection while underway. The pilot and co-pilot seats have a fold-down seat for standing or seated piloting.
In the cockpit there is a sitting area with a U-shaped bench seat and table, which faces a kitchenette with fridge (optional), sink and stove. Again, there is plenty of storage under the bench seat. The back of the port bench seat opens to access the interior of the boat and closes to completely secure the cockpit. Also for safety, handrails are located throughout the boat for easy movement.
The rear platform is rather spacious with two skirts framing the outboard motor. There is a built-in swim ladder for easy access to the water or a stainless steel shower or ski mast. It is covered with synthetic teak and can be easily dismantled.
As an option, a roll bar can be fitted to protect against the sun, which folds out over the entire rear section, right up to the console windscreen. The Hélios 25 adapts to your tastes with modifiable colours for the upholstery, tube, gelcoat and synthetic teak.
