Aston Martin enters the yachting world

The first model of the AM37 - Aston Martin and Quintessence Yacht's sporty flagship - was unveiled at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. With this fast, designer boat, the luxury car brand is making its entry into boating.

A world first for the AM37

The AM37S made its world debut on September 28, 2016 at the opening of the Monaco Yacht Show. Its innovative design brings together the brand's expertise in luxury automobiles and the performance of the yachting world. This new 37-foot (11m) day-cruiser offered in two versions (engines) is expected to reach speeds of 50 knots (for the AM37S version).

After two years of research and development, the AM37 finally makes its debut on the market. This combination of technological innovations is inspired by the brand's luxury cars. Thus, Aston Martin designers have tried to create a unique boat inspired by the One-77, Aston Martin Vulcan or the new DB11.

To develop this project, Marek Reichman âeuros Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Aston Martin âeuros and his design team worked closely with the naval architecture firm Mulder Design. Finally, Quintessence Yacht handled the production by transforming the plans and drawings provided by Aston Martin.

Marek Reichman commented "The AM37 is a pure translation of Aston Martin's DNA into an entirely new marine concept. The powerboat reflects our values of power, beauty and soul."

A luxurious and fast day-cruiser

The AM37 is a day cruiser with a saloon that can be converted into a berth. The cabin is well equipped with ambient lighting and air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker as well as a bathroom to provide maximum comfort on board. In the cockpit, there is a leather bench seat that can accommodate 8 people.

The exterior design is simple, dynamic and elegant, but also very well finished. The boat is distinguished by a noticeable attention to detail in every element of its design. The wraparound windshield was created from a single piece of flowing sculpted glass and protects the cockpit from the foredeck. On the carbon and leather dash (much like on luxury cars), we find all the functional navigation features: steering wheel, accelerator, joystick in carbonâeuros¦

Sliding deck technology allows owners to close the cockpit with ease. The three lightweight carbon deck panels fold under the aft deck when the cockpit is uncovered. An electro-hydraulic carbon fiber bimini is stowed under the engine hatch and extends from the aft swim platform for easy access to the water.

This 37 feet model is available in two versions âeuros the AM37 with a maximum speed of 45 knots and 2x370 HP Mercury Diesel or 2x430 HP Mercury Gasoline. The AM37S version can reach 50 knots with its 2x520 HP Mercury gasoline.

Prices start from £1,260,720 (1,443,449 euros) for the AM37 with 2x430 HP. The AM37S Platinum starts at £1,621,489 (1,856,670 euros)
