Code 2 is unlike anything in current production. It's a splendid 60-foot (17.50 m) racing yacht, but the finish is more reminiscent of a luxury yacht.
This Marc Lombard-designed unit measures 17.50 m. It is equipped with a lifting keel that allows the draught to be varied from 1.70 (for harbors and anchorages) to 4.60 m (for stiffness under sail). The boat also comes with 2 x 1500-liter ballasts.
Built entirely in carbon, this unit plays the speed card. But with a concession to looks and comfort, it features 600 kg of teak on deck and in the cockpit. The vertically glazed deckhouse provides a large deck forward of the mast.
The interior layout is very simple, with a large open saloon and a forward owner's cabin featuring a shower with a carbon film curtain. Treated in black and white, the layout is sober, but very well finished.
The Code range is getting thicker: while Code 2 is the largest model, the range began with the 9.96 m Code 0 (pronounced Code Zero), followed by Code 1 (12 m). The latest addition, the Code # (8.20 m), will be presented at the Grand Pavois de La Rochelle 2016.
