Jean Le Cam confirms his participation in the Vendée Globe 2016

Jean Le Cam will indeed be at the start of this 8th edition of the Vendée Globe! And for those who doubted it, his presence at the press conference on September 14, 2016 allowed him to confirm his participation.

Jean Le Cam who organized a major fundraiser and mobilized nearly 700 people for its participation in the Vendée Globe 2016 (whose departure will be given on November 6th) has just assured his participation. Less than two euros from the departure, he found a sponsor who will allow him to leave around the world for the 4 e times.

The Bouyer Leroux Group - France's leading manufacturer of clay building materials - will be present through its flagship brand bio'bric and its subsidiaries Thébault, SPPF, FLO and its network of installers WIZEO closures. It employs 900 people and has a turnover of approximately 185 million euros.

The skipper will now be able to finish outfitting his boat before the big start in 51 days. The Imoca boat that he nicknamed Hubert will be called Finistère Mer Vent, in connection with the collaborative and entrepreneurial project of the same name, which will have as its missions to preserve and enhance the investments already made and thus defend the economy of the region; to develop new projects with high added value; to promote relations between financial, technological and sporting players.

This project, named "Finistère Mer Vent" will see its concretization, after consultation with the associative, public and private actors, in the coming year in the form of a Cooperative Society of Collective Interest (SCIC). An economic model open to all and resolutely turned towards the future.
