As last year, 50,000 visitors flocked to the exhibition the pontoons of the Cannes Yachting Festival . The figure therefore remains stable compared to the previous year. There were about 570 boats on display. Ashore, there was a median strip with many boats to discover on dry land.
496 exhibitors were present (construction sites, equipment, services...), but as for the visitors, Italy was very present. You could find Italian shipyards, but above all many dealers came from the country by the bootstraps, as at Jeanneau and Bénéteau. It must be said that Cannes is only a few hundred kilometres from the Italian Riviera.
As with the latest semi-rigid models, the construction gives priority to composite. Grand Pavois many new products and previews were on display. But in Cannes, the largest units were in the spotlight, particularly the Pierre Port Canto and its brokerage activity, which could be reached from the main port by the sea shuttle.
Cannes shows once again that it is an important boat show since 80% of the boats could be tested at sea.
With its 50,000 visitors - half as many as the Grand Pavois - the Cannes Yachting Festival remains the glamour and glitter show for lovers of luxury yachts, sailboats or imposing multihulls.
