Nautic clean is a new brand on the boat care market. We had the opportunity to discover these products, but above all to test their effectiveness. To do so, we went to the Arcachon basin in the premises of Marine Plaisance Service, which provided us with boats before their preparation for the season, therefore very dirty, ideal to test the effectiveness of the products.
Launched in 2012, Nautic Clean relies on a laboratory that is more than 25 years old to develop its range of products dedicated to the nautical industry. In order to make itself known on this market already occupied by many players, the range started with an innovative product that did not yet have any competition: the 01 self-drying shampoo. This product avoids traces of water on drying (which always leaves limescale rings) and eliminates chamois leather drying.
On the strength of this success, the range has been extended and now includes 12 products (differentiated by number) to treat hull and deck, glass and plexi, engine, stainless steel and metals, tyres, fabrics and tarpaulins. A range which should see new references coming soon.
For our tests, we focused on the main problems of boaters and tried 6 products in detail:
- Universal hull and deck cleaner 09

- Hull de-rusting and rust mark 02
- Mould stain remover 04
- Pneumatic cleaner 07
- Passive rust remover for stainless steel and metals 14
It is interesting to note that all these products worked without mechanical action, i.e. without having to rub. Real lazy products! We simply applied the liquid diluted or not according to the instructions, then waited for it to act, before finishing by rinsing.
In addition, this range remains environmentally friendly by using surfactants of plant origin. No pollution therefore with products of petroleum origin.
09 Professional Universal Cleaner
Very economical, because it is highly concentrated, it allows low dosages (diluted to 4%).
Available in 1 litre cans at 12 euros.
Very easy to apply, as it is available as a ready-to-use spray, it removes difficult dirt such as black streaks, marine pollution, oil residues without attacking the fender.

02 Hull Removal
Ready-to-use spray product. Use on yellow floatation marks or rust streaks on gelcoat.

04 Mould stain remover
Very effective for removing all mould stains on all types of substrates. Its active principle destroys the microscopic fungi responsible for mould. Can be used on any support, but mainly on upholstery or plastics.

07 Pneumatic & semi-rigid cleaner
Cleans PVC or hypalon tires. Does not alter the support. Also removes black marks on gelcoat hulls: fender rubbing or traces of lifting strap.

14 Passivating rust remover gel against corrosion and oxidation
This product eliminates corrosion or oxidation on metal surfaces: stainless steel, steel, alloys, aluminium, chrome. The product is in the form of a gel that is applied with a brush.
