Every boater has had to dive under their boat at some point. Whether it?s to check or free up their anchor, remove a line caught in the propeller, inspect or clean the hull, retrieve an object that fell overboard while at anchor, or? just for fun.
From losing a pair of glasses while anchored to designing diving equipment
So the creator of the EAZYDIVE scuba diving kit, while performing a chest-grip maneuver, saw his sunglasses slip off his nose and float gently to the bottom, just like a dead leaf falling from a tree. Ten meters isn?t very deep, you might say, but none of the passengers was able to retrieve them using only the equipment available on board: fins, mask, and snorkel.

That is how David Adrian?a former professional diver, combat swimmer in the French Navy, and already a prolific inventor through his company L'Aquaphile?set out to develop a scuba diving kit specifically designed for recreational divers, called EAZYDIVE.
For short dives under the hull and around the mooring
Most dives are short and shallow, so there?s no need to bring ?excessive gear? like you would for recreational diving?such as a 20-kg tank, a dive computer, or a buoyancy compensator. And above all, make sure to recharge and periodically inspect your tanks.
Three years of development, testing, and trying out different solutions. With the help of colleagues who were former professional divers, including specialists in saturation diving who sometimes amused themselves by ?playing against? their experience as heavy divers: Rethinking, without preconceptions, everything needed for a short dive to ten to fifteen meters?but nothing more than necessary. Making it simple, accessible, inexpensive, easily rechargeable, and usable in the confined space of a boat.
An operating pressure of 12 bars instead of 200 bars
After testing equipment available on the market?such as mini tanks, which were always too small and, more importantly, pressurized to 200 bar, a factor that is often a dealbreaker?the focus quickly shifted to low-pressure diving: 12 bar.

This allows you to:
- A short but sufficient dive with a 9-liter stainless-steel tank?lightweight (3 kg)?that fits, along with its regulator, into a backpack.
- To use a small compressor plugged into the vehicle's battery, which is nothing like a high-pressure compressor.
- To significantly extend the duration of a dive by using a snorkel?that is, a tube that delivers air to the diver on demand.
Bottle, hookah, and compressor?three possible setups
These three pieces of equipment?the tank, the hose, and the compressor?form a sort of ?Holy Trinity ,? but they can also be used individually (self-contained diving with the tank), in pairs?compressor and hookah (diving is done without a tank)?or as a trio, with the hookah supplying air to the tank during the dive.
All of this in a compact, "shoebox-sized" unit that fits easily into a car trunk.

EAZYDIVE allows recreational divers to safely complete all necessary dives on board. It also provides training, because?let?s not forget?scuba diving requires physical fitness and a minimum amount of training.
Contents of the EAZYDIVE Kit
EAZYDIVE is a diving kit that includes:
- A low-pressure diving tank (12 bars) and a regulator, housed in a special backpack. It is equipped with a pressure gauge, a relief valve, and a shut-off valve.
- A hookah, which is a 20-meter hose that continuously supplies the diver with air and allows for up to one hour of diving. A 20-meter extension hose is available as an option. A dual regulator outlet is also available, allowing two divers to dive side by side.
- A compressor used to refill the bottle or power the hookah.
Each of these items can be purchased separately.
The cylinder is not subject to the inspections and retests required for high-pressure scuba cylinders. Each component is lightweight and compact. They can be set up in just a few minutes. Sales are made directly from the manufacturer to the customer. EAZYDIVE is not available in stores.
The EAZYDIVE set, which includes a tank and compressor, is sold at a retail price of 939 euros, including tax.
L'Aquaphile and David Adrian are behind the development of EAZYDIVE
EAZYDIVE is manufactured and marketed by L'Aquaphile, a company specializing in innovation for water sports, founded by David Adrian, former commander of the combat swimmers of Commando Hubert, who has logged more than 5,000 dives in oceans around the world using all types of diving equipment.
Free from the constraints of his former job, David wants to demystify and make scuba diving more accessible.
Having always been passionate about the ocean and innovation, he now devotes himself to developing innovative technologies, providing training, and offering consulting services, all with one goal in mind: to make scuba diving accessible to as many people as possible.
