To increase outdoor space, Yamarin and Acon offer an inflatable floating platform that attaches to the transom. This Airdeck is designed to create an additional area at water level, without modifying the boat's structure.
Extra space around outboard motors
The Airdeck is positioned under the bathing platform and follows the shape of the transom, bypassing the engines. The principle is simple: to increase the available surface area where access is usually limited by the propeller and subframes.
For owners of open boats or motorized dayboats, the aft zone remains a strategic anchorage. It's where you board, launch and rinse your gear. But space is at a premium, especially with one or two outboards.
The inflatable platform creates a stable floating floor, flush with the water. It acts as a temporary extension. It's primarily of interest to families and crews who use their boat on a daily basis at anchor or on a buoy.
Inflatable design and constraints in the marine environment

Acon comes from the inflatable sector, particularly trampolines and leisure modules. The construction logic is based on high-strength synthetic materials, assembled by thermal welding and reinforced stitching.
In the nautical environment, the issue is resistance to UV, abrasion and salt. A stern-mounted platform is subject to splashing, rubbing against the gelcoat and chop-related movements.
The advertised rigidity is due to internal pressure. As with inflatable dinghies or paddles, stability depends on correct inflation and anchoring points. Regular checks of valves and seams are essential.
Storage is an obvious advantage. Once deflated, the platform fits neatly into a trunk. On the other hand, it requires installation time and on-board storage space, which is not neutral on compact units.
Safety at the stern, between swimming and manoeuvring
Installing a surface around the engines raises the question of safety. Propellers, bases, exhaust - everything is concentrated on the transom. The Airdeck is designed to surround the engines in the water, creating a physical barrier between the crew and the mechanical parts.

For children, the platform acts as a buffer zone. You can climb aboard without going directly under the rear skirt. Contact with hard parts is limited.
A targeted accessory for outboards
The platform is announced in several sizes, Single, Double and Mini, to suit transom widths. Compatibility will depend on the number of engines, their center distance and the height of the bathing platform.

For yachting professionals, dealers and charterers, this type of accessory opens up a complementary segment. It joins the list of comfort equipment at anchor, in the same way as wide ladders, cockpit showers or aft sunbathing areas.
