Technology born of six years' research
Tyra DC is the first product in the Tyra TEC range, a new generation of laminates developed by Dimension Polyant. It is based on industrial mastery of filament technology, a process that complements the company's experience in woven and laminated products. The challenge was to produce a lighter, more stable fabric, while guaranteeing long-term resistance in demanding programs.
Detailed construction

Tyra DC's structure is based on the use of 100% Ultra PE filament tapes in warp, available in 4000, 6000 and 8000 dpi, crossed with a 3000 dpi Ultra PE fiber weft. The whole is completed by a 1 mil PET film and a 50x50 dpi white woven polyester taffeta, UVM® treated for protection against ultraviolet radiation. This combination is designed to maintain the sail's shape under load, limit deformation and increase the material's longevity.
Three weights for different uses
Tyra DC comes in three versions âeuros TDC04, TDC06 and TDC08 âeuros designed to equip cruising and regatta yachts up to 45 feet. Each weight allows the fabric to be adapted to the type of boat and sailing program, whether for performance-oriented use or fast, durable cruising.
Targeted performance

The new Tyra TEC generation is designed to meet the expectations of today's sailors: a thinner, more flexible complex to facilitate installation, greater stability to preserve sail shape, and improved durability to reduce sail set renewal. This orientation is in line with a desire to combine performance and responsibility, by extending the life of equipment.
