GPS tracker for paddle, kitesurf and wingfoil: NAUTITRACK a newcomer on the scene

With the rise in solo water sports such as paddleboarding, kitesurfing and wingfoiling, the question of safety at sea is becoming increasingly central for yachtsmen. Developed in Brittany, NAUTITRACK GPS bracelets enable you to transmit your position continuously, even far from the shore, and send an alert to your loved ones in case of need.

With over eleven million sailors in France, the sea is attracting a growing number of surfers, paddleboarders and explorers. Many of them sail unaccompanied, sometimes far from supervised beaches. In the event of a fall, breakage or simple drift, making yourself visible or calling for help can prove difficult. NAUTITRACK has come up with a simple tool to help you keep track of where you are at all times.

Keeping in touch, even when you're on your own

Whether it's a paddle, a kiteboarding session or a PMT exploration, many sailors go out alone. In the absence of a VHF, AIS or waterproof phone, they often rely on their own vigilance. The NAUTITRACK Sport bracelet lets you send your GPS position at regular intervals to a web interface accessible to friends and family.

In the event of a problem, an integrated button triggers an alert that is sent with exact coordinates to registered contacts. A useful function when you're away from the phone network or unable to use your smartphone.

Equipment designed for real-life sailing conditions

The NAUTITRACK Sport model comes in the form of a lightweight bracelet (37 grams) waterproof to 60 meters. It withstands shocks, repeated immersion and long sessions. Its autonomy reaches fifteen days in standard use.

It can be recharged without contact, thanks to an induction base, so there's no need for fragile plugs exposed to salt water. A solution for wet activities and repeated outings.

Operation without a telephone or complex subscription

The system is based on LTE-M and NB-IoT networks, designed to transmit low-speed data in areas with poor coverage. Users don't need a traditional mobile connection or a SIM card to manage. The communication subscription is included for one year.

The tracker sends its position every ten minutes, and remains accessible via a web interface that can be consulted from any Internet browser. Relatives can follow the route live, without having to call or wait for news.

A discreet complement to boater safety

For regular coastal water sports enthusiasts, NAUTITRACK does not replace the safety equipment required by law, but it does provide a way of locating the boat in the event of a drift, fall or physical problem. It is also a useful tool for reassuring loved ones on land, who can check from a distance that all is well. The quick and easy alert function also helps to anticipate rescue efforts in the event of prolonged drift.
