Performance beyond expectations
Initially scheduled to reach 42 knots, the 28-meter Otam 90 GTS luxury yacht finally pointed her bow at 45 knots. This impressive speed for a boat of this size is due not only to the two powerful 2,600 hp MTU engines coupled to Arneson surface propellers, but also to the hull designed by Umberto Tagliavini and Aldo Scorzoni of Marine Design & Services. "This configuration guarantees exceptionally smooth and responsive sailing, combined with excellent seakeeping capabilities." specifies the site.
The speed is all the more noteworthy as the weight estimate was higher than the initial one. The owner requested the addition of a custom rotating gangway, stabilizers, extensive use of marble both inside and out, and the installation of an advanced stereo system with a dedicated room for equipment storage. The shipyard insists on having paid great attention to acoustic insulation, despite the boat being semi-open.

Unique, made-to-measure details
Collaboration with Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design Firm has resulted in the installation of unique, bespoke details on board. The cockpit, for example, is inspired by the world of racing cars, with a carbon fiber structure reminiscent of the halo roll bar installed above the Formula 1 cockpit. This structure also includes an integrated, independent cooling system to keep the console's electronic equipment at a constant temperature. The air intakes at the front of the yacht and the 'snorkel' on the hardtop are also reminiscent of the automotive world.
The hull is finished in metallic silver paint with bronze accents, specially developed by Awlgrip for the owner.

A fully customized layout
The layout has been fully customized to accommodate guests in three cabins. Below deck are the full-width owner's suite, a VIP cabin, a third cabin and a saloon with racks in a room for the stereo system.
On the main deck, in addition to the convivial, spacious cockpit with opening hard top, there is specific access to the galley, which is deliberately separated from the VIP section. The crew area has independent access. At the stern, there's a large sunbathing area and a large bathing platform. On the foredeck, a relaxation and dining area is accessible via protected side decks.

Numerous customization options
Customization options include full-height or half-height side windows, one or two hull glazings for the master cabin, and a garage of various sizes, with space for a 4.35 m tender. The Otam 90 is also available in a hard-top version, with an enclosed saloon on the main deck.
