Nautor Swan unveils the ClubSwan 28, simplicity and performance

The ClubSwan 28 is the latest addition to the Nautor Swan range, combining simplicity, quality and pure speed while remaining one-design. Destined for One Design races around the world, this yacht has been designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian to offer optimal performance in a variety of conditions, with a preference for light airs.

The ClubSwan 28, with its 8.50 m hull length, stands out for its accessible, high-performance approach to sailboat racing. With a crew of four to five and a carbon mast without backstay, this one-design is designed for simplicity of use, without compromising on performance. Ideal for medium to light winds, it will be formidable on bay courses.

Optimal simplicity and performance

The main objective of the ClubSwan 28 is to offer accessible, high-performance sailing. Thanks to its sleek design and large, secure cockpit, maneuvering during regattas is made easy. The sail plan consists of a mainsail, jib, gennaker and spinnaker, both bowsed on a long retractable bowsprit over 2 m long. A complete spinnaker retrieval system, featuring a sliding hatch at the bow, allows easy operation during competitions. With its lifting keel and road-going size, this yacht is easy to transport without the need for special permits. It can be rigged in just a few hours.

Innovation in rig design

The rigging of the ClubSwan 28 is simple. A single action adjusts the rig via a hydraulic system. Mast bend and headstay tension are synchronized without the need for a backstay, thanks to an innovative shroud configuration. Federico Michetti, Sports Activities Manager and Product Manager, comments: " Our goal was to create a boat that prioritized management and ease of navigation over pushing the limits of absolute performance ".

A new chapter for ClubSwan Yachts

The launch of the ClubSwan 28 marks an exciting turning point in the history of ClubSwan Yachts. This latest addition to the regatta sailboat range includes the ClubSwann 36, 43, 50, 80 and 125. This small one-design will make its debut in September 2024 at the 22nd edition of the Rolex Swan Cup. Thereafter, the fleet will meet again at the end of October for an event dedicated to this new model: the ClubSwan Invitational Sardinia Challenge, to be held at the Marina di Villasimius in Sardinia.
