Loïs Berrehar wins the Solo Guy Cotten
In the first two coastal legs of the Solo Guy Cotten, Loïs Berrehar won the first and Gaston Morvan the second. The Figaro Bénéteau boats then set off on the 370-mile race on March 13. Unfortunately, on the same evening, Gaston Morvan and Chloé Le Bars collided, the former falling victim to an ingress of water. At the end of the race, Loïs Berrehar won both the main race and the overall classification on Friday, March 15, crossing the finish line in Concarneau Bay at 7:21 am. Alexis Loison and Jules Delpech rounded off the podium in the main race, as the jury had to decide whether Gaston Morvan should recover before the final overall rankings were known.
A new partner for Justine Mettraux
Justine Mettraux, who wears the Teamwork colors in the IMOCA class, is now joined by Groupe Snef, already a partner of Xavier Macaire in the Class40 class. The young woman will be taking part in the 2025 double-handed season alongside the skipper.

VSF Sports launches into ocean racing

90 nations expected for the French Olympic Week in Hyères - Toulon Provence
The 55th edition of the SOF will be held from April 20 to 27, 2024. This will be the last major multi-series event before the Paris Olympic Games. Anthony Marchand and Eric Péron complete their round-the-world trip
On Monday, March 11, 2024, Anthony Marchand crossed the finish line of the Arkea Ultim Challenge solo round-the-world race at 15h08 and 21 seconds. He finished 4th in the race after 64 days 01 hour 38 minutes and 21 seconds of competition. Eric Péron is the last competitor in this round-the-world race, taking 5th place with a finish on Wednesday March 13 at 14h44 and 27 seconds after a race lasting 66 days, 01 hour, 14 minutes and 27 seconds.
French 49er dinghy world champions
With just 4 months to go before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Clément Péquin and Erwan Fischer won the 49er men's double-handed dinghy world championship in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. They are 38 points ahead of the Dutch, three-time defending world champions. This is a first for the French, who have never before won a world title in this series. In the women's category, the Dutch Odile van Aanholt / Annette Duetz take the world title. Lana Granier Amélie Riou, the first French women, took 20th place, ahead of Mathilde Lovadina / Aude Compan, 32nd e then Charline Picon / Sarah Steyaert, 33 e and Manon Peyre / Clara Sofia Stamminger de Moura, 35 e.
