Record edition for the Bacardi Cup
The 97th Bacardi Cup and Bacardi Invitational Regatta, held from March 3 to 9, 2024, is registering a record number of entries with an unprecedented two hundred and thirteen teams preparing to compete in Biscayne Bay, Miami. The regatta kicks off on March 4 with the 97th Bacardi Cup for Star, followed by the J/70, Melges 24, Snipe, Viper 640 and VX One classes, which open their three-day Bacardi Invitational Regatta (BCIR) on March 7.
Charles Caudrelier wins the Arkea Ultim Challenge
This Tuesday, February 27, at 8h 37min 42s, Charles Caudrelier crossed the finish line of the Arkea Ultim Challenge-Brest in victory . At the helm of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild the skipper of Gitana Team completed his first solo round-the-world voyage in 50 days 19 hours 7 minutes, 42 seconds at an average speed of 23.74 knots, covering a distance of 28,938 miles.

Thomas Coville second in Arkea Ultim Challenge
The skipper of Sodebo Ultim 3 crossed the line of the Arkea Ultim Challenge in second place, this Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 14 hours 42min and 40 seconds. At the age of 55, Thomas Coville will have taken 53 days 1 hour 12 minutes and 40 seconds to complete this round-the-world race. This is his 9th circumnavigation, 7th multihull, 5th solo.
A new partner for the Orient Express Team
The French Orient Express Team will take part in the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona. The Rebirth Group, with its Solex, Matra, Cycles Lejeune and Coleen brands, becomes an official supporter of the French Orient Express Racing Team.

A first 470 race for Camille Lecointre and Jérémie Mion
After winter training between Marseille and Lanzarote, Camille Lecointre and Jérémie Mion are ready to take on 60 of the world's best duos on the Palma race course for the first event of the season, the World Championship. From February 27 to March 3, Camille and Jérémie will be totally focused on their World Championship objective: to place themselves on one of the highest steps of the podium. After a 3rd place world ranking in 2022, victory in the 2023 Test Event and a 4th place in the World Championship, Camille and Jérémie will be aiming for a place on the top step of the podium e place at the last European Championship, they will be up against some very stiff international competition in Palma. With only 5 months to go before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this final World Championship is proving to be a crucial test in the final stretch towards the Olympic regattas.
A 100% women's transatlantic race for Alexia Barrier
After a 3rd place finish in the RORC Caribbean 600 race, the seven-member crew of The Famous Project left Antigua on Tuesday February 27 for their first women's Atlantic crossing, bound for Portimao, Portugal, aboard the Mod70 The Famous Project. The seven-strong crew includes skipper Alexia Barrier (FRA), co-skipper Dee Caffari (GBR), crew members Pam Lee (IRL), Joan Mulloy (IRL), Annie Lush (GBR), Annemieke Bes (NED) and Deborah Blair (GBR). Muriel Vandenbempt, mediawoman, completes the crew.

5th place for France's Sail GP in Australia
The KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix took place from February 24 to 25, 2024. This 8th Sail Grand Prix out of 13 crowned Tom Slingsby's Australians for the first time this season. The Danes and New Zealanders completed the podium. The French climbed back up to 5th place in the overall International Sailing Championship rankings. Louise Cervera bronze medallist in single-handed dinghy racing
Athens hosted the European Open Single-handed Dinghy Championships (ILCA 6 and 7) of the Olympiad. With only 5 months to go before the Olympic Games, French sailor Louise Cervera, selected to compete in this summer's Olympic Games in Marseille, won the bronze medal. The capricious weather conditions on the Greek coast meant that only 6 qualifying races could be held for the women. The young woman put in a very fine final run to take 3rd place on the podium, behind Hungary's Maria Erdi and Lithuania's Viktorija Andrulyte.
