Seatronic: quick-recharge sockets on the dashboard

The electrical specialist from Saint-Malo is offering a new range of USB sockets in cigar-lighter format. These fast-charging flush-mount sockets feature two inputs, one USB-A and one USB-C, the former offering 18W maximum power and the latter up to 65W.

Maximum overall power is 83 W. IP65-rated on the front with the cap, it will find a place on a console or in a équipet for quick recharging of a tablet or phone. Seatronic reports that recharging a device to 50% takes around 15 minutes. Price 2023 28.80 euros incl. VAT

Bounce Extreme case, robust protection for your iPhone

CASETiFY launches a new protective shell for cell phones this summer. The new Bounce Extreme model, Apple compatible only, is designed for harsh environments such as boating.

Resistant to drops from 3 meters, with bouncing corners, it will absorb any shocks in the cockpit. Able to last for 1 hour at depths of up to 2 meters, it will protect your iPhone from sea spray and sea breeze on board your boat. It comes with a wrist strap and neck strap. The 2023 price for the Bounce Extreme is 104.99 euros incl. VAT.

Orca integrates routing on its tablet

The Norwegian manufacturer of the Orca tablet, designed for nautical use, has unveiled the integration of a routing solution into their product. The Orca solution combines cartography and routing in a single system, based on the boat's weather, currents and polar charts.

A detailed navigation plan is provided, highlighting in color any sections involving complex sea or current conditions, as well as the main maneuvers, tacking or gybing. Routing is included in the Orca Premium subscription, priced at 119 euros per year in 2023.
