Living close to the sea
Anthony Glasson, superyacht designer at the head of M51 Concepts, has unveiled Swell, a 252-foot superyacht, 77 meters long and 11.2 meters wide. Both the exterior and interior design are inspired by the movement of waves, with curved, flowing lines and an inverted bow. The hull is made of steel for strength and the superstructure of aluminum for lightness. The superstructure is equipped with huge side windows to create a link with the surrounding environment.

Outside, there is a swimming pool and a spa at the back with many deckchairs. The upper deck offers a large terrace for outdoor dining. Finally, the full-width garage can store two tenders and several jet skis.

A duplex layout
The interior layout is designed as a duplex, like a luxurious penthouse, to connect the different spaces together. The decoration is minimalist, and always in relation to the sea. To push the link to the liquid element, the designer has integrated in the walls two huge aquariums of jellyfish.

In the center of the yacht, this large living area on two decks hosts a dining room, a lounge and a bar. There is also a gym and a wellness center on board.

On the main deck, there are four cabins with beds facing the sea. Another four cabins are positioned on the lower deck. In total, Swell can accommodate up to 12 people plus crew.

The propulsion chosen is hybrid, with a main engine, three electric generators and a battery pack. Without mentioning speeds, the autonomy is announced at 6 000 miles.
