Bolide 170, an exclusive hyperyacht for collector owners

Victory Design, the Italian firm behind the design of the Gozzo 33 and recently the Solaris Power 40 Open, has unveiled the 3D renderings of a hyperyacht project. The Bolide 170, with its 52 m length, will be the largest model of an exclusive range, but above all a step hull.

An exclusive collection for owner collectors

After the presentation of the Bolide 80, currently under full carbon construction at Persico Marine, the designer Victory Design presented in September 2022 the Bolide 170, the largest model of a range of ultra-fast superyachts from 60 to 170 feet. Each model will be exclusive and numbered, and the range will be limited to a few examples for collectors and speed enthusiasts.

Incredible speeds for yachts of this size

Described as "hyperyachts" by the designer, these "bolides" reach crazy speeds for their size. For example, the Bolide 80, with its 24 m length, will have a cruising speed of more than 55 knots, capable of making points at more than 75 knots, all thanks to MAN diesel engines.

Brunello Acampora, founder of Victory explains: " These powers are made possible for a 24m yacht thanks to the hull shape developed by Victory, combined with the patented T-Drive by Flexitab & TS propulsion system with composite flaps."

The Bolide 170 for its part is presented as easy to pilot and maneuver and safe, even at 70 knots, its maximum speed with a hybrid version combining four turbines and electric motors. In this version, the hull is made of composite, with a hybrid electrical system and a battery pack of the latest generation.

The designer claims a 50% reduction in fuel consumption per mile compared to a yacht of the same length. The new design, reminiscent of a luxury race car, has also been thought of as a diesel version with six 2000 hp MAN engines, two electric motors and a T-Drive by Flexitab & TS propulsion system with six surface propellers for a top speed of up to 50 knots. This version will have a light alloy hull and a carbon fiber superstructure.

Brunello Acampora concluded: "This is the largest yacht with a step hull, and in fact has resulted in two patent filings. Its design saves fuel and reduces emissions."

Large open spaces

The layout features large open spaces for daily living. In addition to the owner's suite, four guest cabins and a large crew area will be created on board. The interiors are fitted out with exposed carbon and fine hand-stitched leather, marble in the bathrooms and advanced home automation for great comfort on board.

At the back, the beach club with tilting bulwarks has a submersible walkway to enjoy a sea bath, in addition to a pool located on the solarium, above the tenders and toys area.
