Lycka, a Scandinavian-inspired superyacht that advocates sustainability

The Lycka superyacht is a new elegant concept with flowing, sporty lines whose interior and exterior design is inspired by the Scandinavian world. According to its designer, this design is also part of a sustainable approach, both in style, materials and construction.

A contemporary design

TDoS (Tillberg Design of Sweden) and German builder Nobiskrug unveil a new 77-meter (252-foot) yacht concept, Lycka, whose Swedish meaning is "happiness." Her contemporary design displays clean, flowing lines and a sporty profile, all highlighted by a Scandinavian-like, luxurious inspiration, inside and out, all to enhance a sense of well-being and connection to the sea. Nobiskrug will draw on its expertise in noise and vibration reduction technologies.

Scandinavian inspirations

The yacht's expansive interior blends Scandinavian-inspired simplicity with luxury elements expected on a boat of this size. This open layout is enhanced by large room-high windows and folding balconies to blend outdoors and indoors on the main deck. The main deck features a spacious living and dining area.

Large interior spaces

At the center of the ship, a large lobby features a spiral staircase encircling an elevator connecting guest cabins from the lower deck to the upper deck. A well-equipped galley with pantry is positioned to port, while a breakfast area with fold-down balcony is nestled to starboard, just outside the owner's suite. The full-width owner's suite offers a sitting area and a spacious bathroom with dressing room.

Lycka has been designed to accommodate up to 14 sleeping passengers in 6 equally sized suites located on the lower deck, and the Master Cabin. Large crew quarters housing 10 double cabins are located forward.

Relaxation and socializing outdoors

On the upper deck, the Euro Bridge Deck, a sports/spa room is located aft of the wheelhouse, followed by an office, a bathroom and a beautiful terrace. The captain's quarters as well as the crew lounge with direct access to the galley on the lower deck complete the Bridge Deck's amenities.

Outdoor spaces are important, with lounge areas and a bar on the main deck, a large dining room and lounge area on the upper deck, or a beautiful spa-equipped sundeck surrounded by sunbeds on the bow, with a bar and seating on the stern deck.

To be sustainable

Lycka meets Lloyd's Register certification and can be equipped with diesel or hybrid propulsion. A selection of durable materials has been chosen by TDoS for the interior design, which can be customized to suit the owner's preferences. Multiple styling and color options are also available for the exterior, for a classic, sporty or ultra-modern look.

"Lycka has been designed with sustainability in mind, from the hull shape, to the selection of materials, to the technical systems to meet future demands as well as environmental regulations. The association with Nobiskrug meets our goal of creating a yacht that can stand the test of time with the highest possible quality of construction." says Daniel Nerhagen, Partner & Yacht Director of TDoS.
