Yamarin is a Finnish shipyard, owned by engine manufacturer Yamaha. It offers a range of small Scandinavian boats from 4.86 m to 8.80 m divided into three ranges: daycruiser, bowrider and open hull.
A typically Scandinavian design
The Yamarin 50 BR (Bow Rider) is the smallest model of the three ranges combined. It is a versatile boat with a transportable size of 4.86 m long and 1.96 m wide, with a typically Nordic style and a large, high windshield with central opening for protection when sailing.
The cockpit is equipped with a rear bench seat with a storage compartment and two seats for the pilot and co-pilot with a flip-up seat for standing up. But it is in its seated version that the driving is the most comfortable. The console is divided into two euro bow rider obligatory with a single cockpit that can accommodate a 10-inch Yamarin Q navigation screen (optional) on starboard and a storage locker with a handrail on starboard.
The access to the front deck is done from the central passage via a door and the windshield opening. The large front deck can be used for fishing. There are three storage lockers on the bow and under the seats in front of the console. Mainly used on the inland waters of northern Europe, the Yamarin 50 BR does not have an anchor locker.
Options and engines
Options include a bimini and a softdeck non-slip floor covering. The boat comes standard with a fixed 64-liter fuel tank.
Concerning the motorization, this model receives an outboard from 40 to 60 hp. The maximum power gives it a fast speed of 32 knots.
A good quality/price ratio
Simple but well thought out, with rather neat finishes, the Yamarin 50 BR is the opportunity for Yamaha to re-launch this brand. With its versatile deck layout, you can take several people out for a ride, reach an anchorage or go fishing. Marketed at a price of 21euros960 euros TTC with a 40 hp Yamaha engine, it offers a good quality/price ratio.
