Coaster 650 Plus, lazing around on this Mediterranean RIB

Launched in Genoa in September 2020 - the only boat show held last year due to the health crisis - the Coaster 650 Plus will be unveiled in France at the 2021 Autumn boat shows. It is the successor to the Coaster 650, one of Joker Boat's great successes for over 30 years, and has a very Mediterranean profile.

As a successor to the Coaster 650, one of the flagship models in Joker Boat's RIB range, the shipyard launched the Coaster 650 Plus in the fall of 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 health crisis, the boat could not be officially presented in France.

Hull retained, deck plan modified

With an overall length of 6.90 m (compared to 6.57 m for the previous model) the Coaster 650 Plus offers more space on board. The Franco Donno-designed hull remains the same - performance was up to par - but with some modifications. The shapes have been refined and the waterline reworked to gain in performance.

Finally, it is on the deck that the shipyard has introduced some new features, thanks to the additional deck space. Starting with the front deck, which is 15 cm wider (1.42 m inside width) and has a longer and wider sunbathing area, completed by a console backrest.

The console has been moved to starboard for easier movement and has been redesigned for better ergonomics and aesthetics. It is equipped with a large black protective windshield. The two pilot seats are integrated into a polyester block that can accommodate an optional cooler or refrigerator.

A deck space dedicated to lounging

It is especially in the cockpit that we note the difference. The latter is now equipped with polyester reinforcements on the floats which come to embed the cockpit and bring a feeling of safety. The latter are lined with upholstery to increase the number of seats on board. The rear bench seat has a tilting backrest which, once in the forward position, provides a huge sunbathing area.

For the comfort of the passengers, there are also many storage spaces on board, including trunks in the front and rear.

Finally, the bathing platforms have been lengthened to facilitate access to the water and are equipped with a bathing ladder.

The Coaster 650 Plus can be fitted with an outboard motor with a maximum power of 200 HP. With its many sunbathing areas, this semi-rigid boat is obviously designed for lounging and is very typical of the Mediterranean. Two other models will be available next fall, the Clubman 22 Plus and the Barracuda 580, available in fishing and cruising versions.
