Lost in the Swell is the adventure of three Breton surfing friends, Aurel, Ewen and Ronan. All over the world, they set out to discover little-known spots to indulge their passion, in search of their "Eldorado". Their last journey? Pattaluvia, a sailing trip in Patagonia in search of an incredible wave !
For this new film, change of scenery! Direction Central America - on the Pacific side - for a journey of about 1 month until Panama. And not on just any boat, since this adventure takes place on board Nomade des Mers, Corentin Chatelperron's catamaran, a laboratory boat that has left for a 5-year world tour. Standard-bearer of "low-tech", the crew is looking for new sustainable and solidarity-based innovation initiatives at each stopover.
This "roots" trip will take them from spot to spot - notably in Costa Rica, with the Witch Rock and Ollie's Point, mythical spots for surfers from all over the world.
On board - low tech oblige - no kitchen, no fridge, no card tables, but a vegetable garden, a stove for meals and a rather basic comfort. These living conditions allow Corentin to adapt and to find a way to live in a sustainable way on board his boat.
Waterworld 2021 retraces the journey of the three surfers and allows us to discover - through anecdotes as Ronan (the team's director) knows so well how to do it - the life in ecological mode aboard a boat, surfing sessions as we like them and sailing along the Pacific coast!
