Celebrate World Ocean Day 2021 in photos!

For the past several years, the UN has organized a major photo contest to celebrate World Oceans Day. This year, the theme was the ocean: life and livelihoods. Here are the most beautiful photos of the year 2021 divided into 6 categories.

Held from April 30 to June 8, 2021, the United Nations Photo Contest focused on the theme "The Ocean: Life and Livelihood." Photographers could submit their best work through 6 different categories. The jury composed of aquatic biologists, photo journalists, documentary filmmakers, photographers, and producers/filmmakers selected the best entries that corresponded to the theme.
