If the Grand Prix de l'École Navale has been postponed for the second year in a row (it was supposed to take place from May 13 to 15, 2021), a "Glisse" version will welcome amateurs and experts from June 12 to 13, on the Crozon peninsula.

No sailing regattas

Organized every year in the spring, the Grand Prix de l'École Navale brings together more than 1,000 crew members who come to race on one-design sailboats. But due to the current health context, the 2021 edition, scheduled for the Ascension weekend, could not be held.

Two new "sliding" disciplines

However, the organization has decided to maintain the individual events, which will be held on June 12 and 13. Indeed, this year, two new disciplines in full expansion were added to the GPEN: windsurfing and wingfoil. In view of the number of registrations and the enthusiasm of the participants, these events will be held in compliance with health standards (individual practices) in Roscanvel (Windsurf) and the Naval School (Wingfoil), on the Crozon peninsula.

At the end of the two-day event (up to 6 races per day), the top three competitors in each class will be awarded at the prize-giving ceremony.

The windsurfer is a one-design windsurfing board, which goes back to the origins of windsurfing, while the wingfoil, a foil board, is in full development.

Opening of the registrations

The notice of race is available on the race website and registration is now open. Everyone - whatever their level of practice - will be able to come and rub shoulders with the other competitors, all in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
