The semi-rigid boat comes in all shapes and sizes! From the small dinghy to the maxi-rib fully equipped for cruising, the choice on the market is vast! It must be said that it has many advantages, starting with a great stability while sailing, but also many different layouts.
Over the years, it has seduced a varied population of boaters for its many uses: fishing, boating, cruising, lounging, towed sports ... It must be said that its flush deck can easily customize the boat.
The different programs
Fishing
For fishermen, it is above all a question of finding a stable boat, easy to transport and to put in the water. On board, you need to be able to move around easily, so a central console will be much appreciated, and above all, you need storage space for your equipment. We will therefore prefer a rather uncluttered boat.
Cruise
Here, it's time to relax! For the day you will appreciate the large sunbeds and the numerous seats with table, but also storage boxes for picnic, towels, drinks, etc.
On the larger models, you will even find kitchens and cabins with toilets and showers to extend the day with a night on board. Of course, the equipment includes biminis and awnings for a well-protected sunbathing area.
Finally, the beautiful back bathing beaches with ladders will be suitable for swimming.
Plaisance
If you use your RIB for displacement or speed, you will prefer performance and power. Families will be satisfied with a well-protected rear cockpit with a secure bench seat, just like the front cockpit. The pilot can keep an eye on his passengers while sailing.
Towed sport
Wakeboarding, water skiing, buoyancy... Here, we are looking for fun and entertainment! Deep V hull, light boat that quickly gets out of the water, powerful motorization to be able to quickly tow the various equipment.
A roll bar and a ski pole are also essential equipment to have fun on the water. We will also appreciate to have seats on board to admire the show and share a good moment of comfort after the effort.
Professional boats
The advantage of the semi-rigid is that it is customizable! Several brands - Zeppelin, Narwhal or Zodiac - offer boats that can be fitted out as you wish. A diving club will choose for example a boat able to support weight, with racks for the bottles and able to welcome many people on board.
For transport boats, it is better to choose many seats so that everyone can navigate quickly and well maintained.
