Radar Icom MR-1010R2, a radar that displays all the information for the safety of the board

With the MR-1010R2, Icom wants to make the radar the central screen on board. In fact, in addition to the radar image, it displays all AIS and DSC information useful for navigation. A perfect device to ensure safety on our boats

Icom launches a 4kW radar (36 mile range). The MR101R2 is a "classic" pulse radar that integrates innovative functions. Connected to a VHF and an AIS, it can display AIS targets. Thus, it differentiates an echo that transmits in AIS (with a triangular icon) from a target that is just an echo (rock, beacon...). In addition, if a vessel is transmitting a DSC distress signal, it will be displayed on the radar with a special icon to show it on the screen.

With its bright 10.4" color LCD screen and wide viewing angle, this radar is controlled by a keypad that gives direct access to functions. VHF users of the Japanese brand will not be disoriented, because the radar works the same way: a short press for the first function, a long one to reach the second function. No touch access on the radar screen to ensure proper operation even in rough seas with large and well differentiated keys.

ARPA target management is also simplified since the radar can track dangerous targets in automatic mode or manually by simply clicking on the echo. To differentiate the echoes, the zoom and off-center modes ensure a perfect view. For example, you can see a boat pulling away from a dock while it is moored.

This radar is delivered in standard with its radome of 60 cm and its cable of 15m. It is available at 4428,80 euros TTC.
