Since 1989, 136 international skippers have sailed through the famous channel in Port Olonna, the legendary Vendée Globe port in Les Sables-d'Olonne. Organised every four years, the most famous single-handed, unassisted, non-stop circumnavigation of the globe can boast 8 winners and a pulverised race time with each new edition. The latest one? 74 days and 3 hours, a record held by Armel le Cléac'h (Banque Populaire) on the 2016 edition.
