CaseProof offers protection for all mobiles (smartphones and tablets). If there are protections against shocks and humidity, there are also real hulls that totally isolate the mobile from all aggressions: dust, sand and immersion in water.
Very often, the waterproof protections (IPX6 in the case of CaseProof) are large housings for our smartphones. Thick, unsightly and impractical, they don't make you want to put your phone in them. And yet, the price of our equipment, which we can no longer do without, tends to rise, sometimes exceeding a thousand euros. And for our nautical practices, it is strongly advised to protect them.
Even if the manufacturers announce that the devices can withstand water! True, but most smartphones aren't waterproof. The electronic circuits are protected by a layer of varnish that prevents short circuits, but water penetrates the phone. And if this water is salty, this varnish will be quickly attacked by the salt. When you get out of the water, the phone still works, but what about after a few weeks?
The new CaseProof hulls are stylish enough and thin enough to be left in the mail on a daily basis. Inside the phone is safe. The hull is watertight (3 m for 60 minutes) and shockproof. All functions remain fully available (buttons or speaker) and a trapdoor allows access to the cable for recharging. The hulls even come with a lanyard to secure her jewelry.
We were able to test this shell on an iPhone 11 (but it exists for the other models). The one fits perfectly. Volume buttons are available. Only the thumbwheel for silencing the unit lacks a little precision. We had no problems with the touch screen and liked the transparent back side that lets the apple logo appear.
