4Water announces the renewal of its liferaft range. Still made from rubber (not PVC), the manufacturer has succeeded in lightening the fabric, making it more flexible. With this new fabric and reinvented folding, 4Water liferafts are more compact. A good thing when you're looking to store it in a trunk or install it on deck.

The 4Water raft range is complete. Coastal rafts (4 to 9 berths) and offshore rafts (4 to 12 berths), bagged or containerized, all models are available.
For 4Water, even the coastal rafts feature a self-inflating roll bar. In the event of shipwreck, it would be difficult to imagine letting a crew member on board, who would have to rig the tent before welcoming the rest of the crew...

The neon-green yellow tent fabric is highly visible. This is the same color used to manufacture the bladders of inflatable life jackets. This fabric is retro-reflective (light-reflecting), even if the raft is also fitted with regulatory patches.
These rafts have been fitted with a new inflation system for rapid action. It halves the time needed to inflate a raft to less than 10 seconds for a complete inflation.

In terms of accessories, these rafts feature a new platform for easier boarding. Objects inside the raft (bailer, paddles, etc.) are also of higher quality.
Despite these new features and the move upmarket, the selling price of the rafts remains unchanged from last year. The lifespan is still advertised as 15 years, with overhauls due every 3 years.
