When the creators of One Up saw migrants drowning without being able to provide them with help, they came up with the idea of producing this self-inflating buoy.
The size of a can, weighing 370 g, the buoy is easy to throw at a distance to rescue an individual in difficulty. Here we are not talking about recovering it, but simply about offering it buoyancy while the emergency services are being set up.
The One Up buoy resumes the operation of a self-inflating vest with a CO2 cartridge that strikes with a cellulose pellet. So as soon as One Up touches the water, the buoy inflates automatically. Just like a vest, you can also change the cartridge and the pad and the buoy is usable again.
One Up is not really designed for boaters. There is no rope to bring the buoy back to itself, for example. Instead, they will have to use their life jackets. But this buoy will be a plus on a beach or for fishermen on foot who will be able to have buoyancy always within reach.
