Acula Marina 600, two living areas in a 6 m semi-rigid

The Acula Marina 600

The Corsican semi-rigid shipyard offers a range of small models with a 6 m dedicated to idleness and cabotage, which offers two living areas on board: one in the sun, one in the shade. Discover the Acula Marina 600.

The Acula Marina 600 (which means seagull) is the smallest model in the semi-rigid range of the Corsican shipyard Fanale Marine. With an overall length of 6 m long, it follows its big brothers of 7 and 8 m. With an original deck layout, its programme is clearly idleness and cabotage, hence the large storage compartments that can be found everywhere on board to house water sports equipment, for example.

"We tried to produce a 6 m different from what you find on the market, where the usual objective is to get as many people on board as possible. Here, we wanted to create two living areas, a sunny and a shady area" explains Jean-Jacques Paoli, one of the company's managers.

Large bathing areas as standard

At the rear, there are two beautiful standard bathing platforms that make it easy to swim. You can access the boat directly via the sunbathing area, which takes up all the rear space. The special feature: the sunbathing and the pilot seat are one and the same, to optimize the space on board. The backrest can be raised to the driving position or lowered to enlarge the idleness space. Another trick is a removable bolster to drive standing up, strapped around the backrest.

The centre console does not interfere with movement and remains spacious enough to accommodate electronic equipment. It is well protected by a large curved windscreen with a stainless steel handrail. On the front, it receives a seat with backrest.

The front of the boat is occupied by a second large sunbathing area under which there is a large additional storage locker and anchor locker. The addition of a plate and a cushion between the sunbathing area and the console seat transforms the stirrup into an XXL sunbathing area.

If our model - the very first to leave the site - was not yet equipped with it, an oval table leg is placed at the front and it is possible to install a second one on the starboard side. Two fasteners are then available to install a table. "We tried to offer as standard, a very well equipped boat" jean-Jacques Paoli explains.

As an option, a sun canopy covers the entire aft area of the boat, from the steering station to the hand shower. Easy to install and fold, it is then simply covered with a cover to protect it.

If its hull with a pronounced bow comes directly from Italy, the hypalon floats are made in Corsica, as is the assembly of the semi-rigid. The model on display was gold and white, but it is possible to customize the colours of the upholstery and Orca.

As for the engine, the Acula Marina 600 receives 100 HP, with cruising and maximum speeds announced by the yard of 20/22 knots and 36/37 knots respectively. Thanks to its width of 2.35 m, it is transportable and its length of 6.20 m exempts it from the francization tax on the hull.

The Corsican shipyard intends to expand its range with a larger model, the Altore 900 a semi-rigid with a 9 m long cabin. However, it will be necessary to wait for orders to launch the production that the yard hopes for 2019...
