Lomac Granturismo 14, mega tire' all comfort for speed

The Lomac Granturismo 14.0

The Italian shipyard Lomac, known for the quality of its semi-rigid boats, has released its largest unit in all ranges: the Granturismo 14.0. Its dynamic, sporty and elegant lines attract the eye, as do its three large outboards hung on its board arrière?!

Easy to drive

The Granturismo 14 is a 14.51 m mega tire (with engines), the largest model ever launched by the Italian yard. To contribute to weight gain, manufacturing involves the infusion of multiaxial fiberglass fabrics. The latter is also reinforced with kevlar in the areas of impact on live works. It is this latter material that has also been chosen for hard-top, in the continuity of the windshield. With a weight of only 6 tons unloaded, three 425 HP Yamaha XTO outboard engines are enough for it to reach the maximum speed of 57 n?uds?!

Its constant deep V hull passes impeccably through the sea with a light chop and the 50 knots are reached without even realizing it. The acceleration is smooth and the boat very stable and comfortable even at maximum speed. In addition, there is the large hard-top that really protects the helm station from wind and spray. With a lift-off time of 5 seconds, it accelerates from 0 to 20 knots in 6.5 seconds, reaches 30 knots in 8.5 seconds and 40 knots in 13 seconds. Easy to drive, it responds instantly to steering shots.

Space and elegance

On board, the space is roi?! At the rear, a huge sunbathing area covers either a very large storage compartment (in the outboard version) or the engine compartment (in the inboard version). There follows a beautiful U-shaped cockpit bench in the stern with a retractable table if desired. This area has a nice freeboard height, a guarantee of safety, especially for the youngest ones.

The rear of the leaning-post has a kitchen and the front two comfortable pilot seats with a foldable seat to drive upright. Its convex shape allows you to comfortably hold your back to navigate. The large console has plenty of space to install several navigation screens. The very enveloping windscreen, even on the sides, is extended by a hard-top that perfectly shelters the helm station.

At the front - accessed via two steps - a second large sunbathing area occupies the deck and once again houses a large storage locker and a large anchor locker, where the mooring cleverly hidden cleats are hidden, to avoid raking. Malin?!

Under the deck, there is a beautiful bright cabin with a height under the deck. The large mirror that acts as the headboard further increases the feeling of space. And to top it off, the bathroom has a separate shower.

Details and finishes

This third model in the Granturismo range after the 10.5 (10.4 m) and 8.5 (8.49 m) takes up the sporty line of the Adrenalina series, but also the sailing comfort and anchoring stability of the Granturismo series. As on the other models on site, the finishes are well done and the details are numerous. Offered with two types of propulsion, double or triple outboard for maximum performance or inboard for the pleasure of a very large rear deck, the 14.0 GT should find its audience in a market where the size of semi-rigid boats is constantly increasing at exploser?!
