Special Edition / Crewsaver, a lifejacket you wear!

To be safe, you have to wear your vest! And it is true that the low-end vests that weigh on the neck do not make you want to wear them. Especially if the weather is fine and the dress code is more like a bathing suit than a waxed one. That's why Crewsaver develops ergonomic vests that are forgotten once on you. To try it is to adopt it

Crewsaver (now part of the Survitech group and distributed in France by Navicom) specialises in life jackets. Rather than making the cheapest and simplest models, Crewsaver has focused on the comfort and ergonomics of the vest, without neglecting safety.

As often, you have to put on a vest to make a real impression of comfort. Just by looking at their shape, you can quickly see that the Crewsaver vest (this applies to all models) is ergonomic.

Crewsaver vests are not worn around the neck like a scarf, but rest on the shoulders like a backpack. This position is much less tiring (it encourages you to wear it more often) and offers more freedom of movement.

On the front, the vest is worn high, it does not go down to the belt level, but remains in the middle of the body. Sailboat crews will appreciate not being bothered with the crank when it comes to winching.

2 ranges according to use

The Crewsaver range is divided into two parts: Crewfit and Ergofit. All these vests meet the standard for recreational boats. While the Crewfit range offers simpler and less equipped (and therefore less expensive) vests, the Ergofit are the top-of-the-range models designed for the open sea.

The first model in the range, the Crewfit 165 is available from 109,00 €. Given its ergonomic and technical qualities, this vest is certainly more expensive than the basic competition and deserves attention. Frequent users such as the Glénans sailing school have not been mistaken, since it now equips all its bases with Crewfit 180s (169,00 € for the model with the harness). A choice that clearly shows the quality of the products.

Many integrated accessories

For 2019, Crewsaver has upgraded its Ergofit+ 190 model. This vest is a highly equipped model with an integrated harness (Dyneema strap buckle). It is intended for sailboat crew members who want a model for the open sea. Indeed, this vest is equipped as standard with a protective hood with hoops that keeps it away from the head. This hood also has a ventilation system that allows air to enter, but not water to enter. This vest is also equipped with a light flash that is activated as soon as it touches the water. A space is also reserved for installing a McMurdo S20 AIS S20 beacon with automatic activation.

Crewsaver Ergofit

Available with a UML cellulose tablet trigger (319,00 €) or with a Hamar hydrostatic system (339,00 €).
