A new design
Bombard has 4 ranges: 2 ranges of semi-rigid boats (Explorer and Sunrider) and 2 ranges of flexible boats (Commando and Typhoon). For 2019, the shipyard is offering itself a new youth with a new design and an expanded offer in terms of colours and materials "We're not talking about a 100% new boat, but the design is visible. The console has changed, so have the float grips. The look is more modern" explains Sébastien Grimaud, the brand's communication manager.
On the Sunrider range - family and Mediterranean - 3 choices of upholstery colours are now available. The floats remain black (dark grey) or white (ivory). On the Explorer range - semi-rigid baroud optional à la carte - the range of fittings to equip your boat is expanding.
A new pricing system
But above all, Bombard has reviewed all the prices of its ranges with an average price reduction of 20%. For two years, the brand studied its products to develop them into modernised and cheaper semi-rigid products "With these changes, we were able to lower our budgets while maintaining the quality recognized by the brand. On average, there is a 22% reduction in tariffs compared to 2018 prices" supports Sebastian.
"With this drop in prices, we have several objectives. First, to internationalize Bombard, especially in Asia where cheap semi-rigid vehicles are commonplace, because it has real legitimacy with its very good price-quality ratio. But also to offer a low-cost offer in our brand to differentiate ourselves from Zodiac, with its top-of-the-range positioning and to compete with our competitors" he adds.
Bombard will therefore launch this renewed, more modern range at the Paris Motor Show at an attractive price, which it will present as the "best value for money at the show". A good compromise for boaters looking for an affordable, but quality boat, especially since Bombard benefits from Zodiac's expertise, both in terms of design and after-sales service, with an exceptional 2-year guarantee for the hull and 5 years for the float.
Numerous projects
The French group will take advantage of the Paris Motor Show to officially launch its textile range with a 30 m2 shop on the footbridge and announce a new Boat Club project.
