Where to see the boats before départ??

A prefectoral decree has defined a no-boating zone for pleasure boaters at the exit of the locks in order to secure the manoeuvring of the 123 sailboats. It is bounded by the end of the port's dikes, the green side Toad of the City and the cardinal Plateau Rance Sud.

The Multi and Mono Rum, will reach their place at the port of Bas-Sablons. The others have mooring buoys in front of Dinard. 9 IMOCA will go to the anchorage at Port Mer (Cancale), well protected from the westerly winds. As a reminder, teams are allowed to stay on board until 4 minutes before the start, i.e. 13:56. While most skippers will enjoy a warm hotel night before the big start, others, like Erik Nigon, don't have the budget to have a professional team.

Or see the boats for départ??

The departure at Pointe du Grouin from the official flagship of Britanny Ferries

The starting line - oriented in the North-South direction - of 3 miles in length has been shifted to the West so that spectators can spread out over the Corniche, safely between Pointe du Grouin and Pointe de Roche froide. 20 departmental officers and 25 SNBSM volunteers will be on hand from Sunday morning to guide spectators.

Parking lots have been set up with shuttles to reach the coast. The departmental road to Cancale will only be open to one direction of traffic to form a loop

The passage of Cape Fréhel

The gate of the Passage du Cap Fréhel is materialized by the two Banque Populaire du Grand Ouest buoys. Located 17 miles from the start line, it gives rise to a first score and the presentation of the Trophée du Cap Fréhel Banque Populaire Grand Ouest.

The buoys are about 1 mile from the cape where more than 19?000 people are expected. On this Natura 2000 site, car parks and a shuttle system have been set up.

On this first section, the first Ultimates could be expected after half an hour. It is therefore advisable to arrive at noon on site to enjoy the show in good conditions.

Where to see the boats on eau??

You can follow the race from your own boat, respecting the rules of limitation ( find out about the D-Day regulations ). But it is still possible to board the tall ship Artemis (about 40 square meters) and the same number on the Pont Aven, Brittany Ferries' flagship, for companies.
