New features on the Mille Sabords programme (1-4 November 2018)

The Salon du Crouesty

Le Mille Sabords - Crouesty's second-hand boat show - will be held from 1 to 4 November 2018. Thanks to the All Saints' Day Bridge, the organizers hope to attract people to the Morbihan docks. On the programme for this 34th edition are new products, but also essential spaces.

Europe's largest second-hand boat show

Born in 1984, the Mille Sabords is today the largest second-hand boat show in Europe. Nearly 800 models are on display, both sailing and motor "The motor boat is much more represented, and especially the semi-rigid, the market trend. We also have a lot of tall ships over 12 meters long." explains Caroline Martin, in charge of organizing the show.

Crouesty is also a show where you can buy since 33% of sales are made on the show. While exhibitors - 1/3 private individuals and 1/3 professionals - are mainly from the Brest-Lorient region, visitors come from a wider area: Nantes, Rennes and even the Paris region (39% according to the Orange Network service).

Yvan Bourgnon, guest of honour

For this 34th edition, Mille Sabord will be able to count on the sponsorship of Yvan Bourgnon. The navigator will present his project The Sea Cleaners, whose objective is to reduce ocean pollution, particularly plastic pollution. The association's project is the construction of the Manta, a ship that cleans the seas.

The new features of this 34th edition

For this 34th edition, the Mille Sabords is installing a hardware destocking centre under a 200 m2 structure on the northern median. Professionals will welcome visitors with products at the end of the series or unsold or out of catalogue.

"It is a complementary offer to that of nautical fleas, held by boaters and it allows professionals to recycle. It's a big sale of the hardware to sell the remaining stocks. This was a request from professionals who wanted a space apart from fleas, rather reserved for boaters. They also wanted a more comfortable place, hence the creation of a covered space." caroline Martin explains.

Unavoidable spaces

The fishing area is at the heart of the salon to welcome all fishermen: on foot, by line, experienced or novice. New exhibitors are expected in this area to constantly enrich the offer.

The Renovation Division is back for the third time and is a real success. It highlights the know-how of local actors. Exhibitors offer a wide range of activities and technical demonstrations: motorization, welding, hull treatment, covering..

The Slide/Sailing Centre is expanding and allows you to display second-hand or destocking equipment. Light sailing, surfing, kite, kayaking or paddle, there will be something for everyone

The Nautical chips in the heart of the living room along the promenade allow you to find marine antiques, furniture, decoration or old fishing traps.

The water sports villages located in the north and south bring together all the specialists in nautical equipment, fittings and seawear.

Boats that are not exposed to the water will be exposed on both sides of the platform.
