Here is the long-awaited 2018 ranking of the European Best Destinations, a website promoting European tourist destinations. And again for the second consecutive year, Portugal is at the top of the ranking with the beautiful beach of Carvoeiro.

In 2018, Croatia will have the most awards with 4 of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe. It must be said that the country abounds with thousands of islands, inviting to discovery and relaxation. But it is the Portugal who can boast for the 2 e sequential year to win the prize for the most beautiful beach in Europe.

Carvoeiro (Algarve - Portugal)

Carvoeiro is a Portuguese seaside resort known for its incredible and calm beaches and its coastline of cliffs and caves. A destination that lends itself to cruising, coastal hiking and water sports such as kayaking and paddle sports. And let's not forget the many typical restaurants and bars that line the streets of this picturesque town.

Marathonisi Island (Kefalonia Island - Greece)

Marathonisi Island - also known as Turtle Island because of its animal-like shape - is located south of the island of Zakynthos (in the Ionian Sea), in the bay of Laganas. Cameo Island (Zakynthos - Greece)

Cameo Island is one of the prettiest, but also one of the smallest Greek islands. This private island is actually a piece of the island of Zakynthos that was detached during an earthquake. It is accessed from a wooden bridge that connects the island to the port of Agios Sostis, on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, only 1 hour from Athens.

When you say private island, you say right of entry. So you will have to pay 5 euros to get there, in exchange for which you will be entitled to a drink and a privileged moment on the sand, protected by a parasol, relaxing on a deckchair.

Atrani, Italy

Atrani is one of the prettiest towns in Campania, a region in southwestern Italy known for its ancient ruins and spectacular coastline.
